Bronzite is gemological name for the common mineral, Enstatite. Bronzite is a lovely chocolate brown colored gemstone with golden swirls that shimmer, making this one of the more phenomenal gemstones when polished.

It is said that the Romans of Ancient time used ground Bronzite as an elixir for protection against mental confusion and illness, and a general treatment to strengthen the nerves.

 

 

Bronzite Scientific Properties


Bronzite Mohs Hardness of 5.5 with a orthorhombic crystal structure.

Bronzite is a weathered form of of Enstatite, which is part of the pyroxene family (a series of magnesium) as an iron bearing variety with a great many inclusions which give it the bronze-like luster when polished.

Composed of a complex mix of magnesium and magnesium iron silicate, it is created from a combination of Enstatite and Hypersthene, found very deep within the earth.  Bronzite flashes of bronze light, named schiller, are due to a submetallic luster which appears most prominently when it has been well polished.

Bronzite is known both as a ‘stone of focused action’ as well as a ‘stone of courtesy’. It promotes loving, unprejudiced discernment within the bearer. This is a stone that will help one to develop in all areas relative to service, as well, it brings the value of assistance to the forefront of the conscious mind. It is quite helpful in gaining certainty in our decisions and with taking control of our actions.

As with all iron bearing gemstones, this stone is thought to be protective, as all iron bearing gemstones are thought to be. With Bronzite, it is not only thought to be protective and bring the bearer harmony, but also to send any ill-will or evil intent to the bearer back to the sender thrice-fold!

As with any brown gemstones, Bronzite brings with it an air of grounding to the wearer. Said to be helpful in discordant situations; to instill a polite nature not just the bearer but those around as well. Told to boost one’s self esteem when one must face a challenging choice or difficult decision, Bronzite will assist the bearer to be strong and power through. This is especially helpful when the wearer feels they may lack control, or lose their center of a given situation.  Told to bring general inner piece, removing stress and to work favorably on the psyche by protecting again depressive and discordant moods.

Used to assist in one achieving a certain state of knowing without unkind willfulness, so that one may continue to be adaptable, and to respect the methodology of attainment to the higher planes. In other words, it will offer one a view of the larger picture, so that a better understanding will be granted to appreciate the value of completing the tedious tasks and details in order to reach one’s final goal.

 

Healing Properties of Bronzite

With the ability to bring one’s body into perfect pH balance, Bronzite is helpful with the treatment of many skin ailments such as acne, eczema, rashes and cysts as well as premature aging and skin dehydration.

It relaxes tense muscles and muscular cramps and is also used to assist one’s body in normal transformational cycles.

Bronzite should be cleansed one a month under warm running water. It shall be charged alongside or among rocky crystal for twelve hours, the most effective hours would be during the night.
