Magic of the Color Blue
Blue is the coolest color in the color spectrum; it is the color of the
sky, the ocean, sleep and twilight. Ancient Egyptians used the blue
gemstone Lapis Lazuli as a representation of heaven. Blue is also used to
symbolize the Virgin Mary. The right shade of pure blue is the color
of spirituality, of inspiration and sincerity. It is a calming color
which makes is a wonderful choice in the home, especially for
babies. Blue is such a calming and soothing color, it is often the

A hue of blue, Turquoise is a symbol of youth, both the color

Turquoise is the color of communication, it contains both the qualities of

Aqua or Teal is the color of high ideals and all things lofty,
inspiration being it's backbone. Also a hue of blue and green it also
carries the properties of both colors, just at a level less demanding.

carry with them the color properties. A true blue represents
faithfulness, loyalty, openness, light blue freedom, and dark blue
responsibility and respect for others.
Wear blue in jewelry or clothing freely as it is a wonderful color that

Chakra Association with Blue
Blue is the color associated with the Throat
or 5th Chakra which
lies directly at the base of the throat and provides energy to the thyroid
gland. When energy flows freely through the throat chakra one will
be more open to new experiences. Such individuals will be more able
to express themselves fully and stand up for their beliefs.
Some gemstones associated with the Throat Chakra are aquamarine,
chalcedony, turquoise,
angelite, kyanite,
opal, pearl,
and blue topaz.
