WANDS

wand

noun

\ ˈwänd  \
1a slender staff carried in a procession VERGE
2a slender rod used by conjurers and magicians
3a slat six feet by two inches used as a target in archery  also a narrow strip of paper pasted vertically on a target face
A wand is a thin, light-weight rod that is held with one hand, and is traditionally made of wood – each wood carrying it’s own metaphysical qualities; but may also be made of other materials, such as metal or glass. A wand that is used for magical purposes is often called a magic wand, rather than simply a wand. Also called a rod or blasting rod, this is a tool used by witches and magicians for conjuring and directing energy.
